Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and participation in activities operated by Forest Mystery. By making a booking and/or participating in any Forest Mystery experience, you and all players in your team agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please make sure that all players in the team have read and understood all the Terms and Conditions before proceeding to book your experience.

Forest Mystery operates outdoor escape rooms and adventure-style games within a natural woodland environment. The game is designed for a team of up to 6 people per game, depending on game and location.

1.General

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.
Forest Mystery reserves the right to amend or vary the Terms and Conditions including any of the contents of the Website from time to time at its sole discretion without prior notice.
The Terms and Conditions should be read carefully before any use.

2. Assumption of Risk & Participant Responsibility

Participation in outdoor activities involves inherent risks.

By booking and taking part in a Forest Mystery experience, you acknowledge and agree that:

Activities take place in a natural woodland setting where hazards may include, but are not limited to, uneven ground, mud, tree roots, low branches, falling branches, insects, wildlife, and changing weather conditions.
You voluntarily assume all normal and foreseeable risks associated with outdoor adventure activities.
You confirm that you are physically and medically fit to participate in all activities provided by Forest Mystery.
You agree to follow all safety instructions and guidance provided by the Forest Mystery team at all times.
You accept responsibility for your own safety and personal belongings during any activity provided by Forest Mystery.

Forest Mystery will take reasonable steps to ensure participant safety in accordance with UK health and safety legislation. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

3. Health & Safety

Participants must follow all instructions given by the Forest Mystery team at all times.
Suitable outdoor clothing and appropriate footwear must be worn.
Participants must inform the Forest Mystery team prior to participation of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, disabilities, or accessibility requirements.
Forest Mystery reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation where we reasonably believe it may pose a risk to the individual or others.

4. Age Requirements & Supervision

The person who completes the booking online must be 18 years of age or over at the time of booking.
Players aged 16-17 can play without an adult but the adult is required to remain on site at all times.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult (18+).
Some games may have minimum age requirements, which will be stated at the time of booking.
The supervising adult accepts full responsibility for the conduct and safety of any minors in their care.

5. Behaviour & Conduct

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants:

Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
Participants must not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted during activities or within the woodland site.
Excessive noise, disruptive behaviour, or behaviour that may cause distress, danger, or environmental damage is not permitted.
Participants must behave respectfully toward the Forest Mystery team, other guests, and the natural environment.

Forest Mystery reserves the right to remove any participant without refund if their behaviour compromises safety, damages property, negatively affects others, or breaches these Terms & Conditions.

6. Environmental Protection – Leave No Trace

All participants must behave responsibly while taking part in outdoor activities. This includes:

Staying within designated areas and on established paths at all times.
Respecting wildlife and avoiding disturbance to animals or natural habitats.
Avoid littering.
Leaving natural features, plants, and surroundings undisturbed.
Being considerate of other visitors by keeping noise to a minimum and not obstructing public access.
Follow all instructions designed to protect the environment.

Failure to comply may result in removal from the activity without refund.

7. Bookings & Payment

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
Prices are as stated at the time of booking.
By completing a booking, you confirm that you and all members of your group agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Our website may contain hyperlinks to third-party websites. We do not control these sites and accept no liability for any issues or damages arising from their use. You access them at your own risk. We are not responsible for any content or privacy practices on external websites

We accept payments in British Pound Sterling only. This consists of cash, card and digital payments done by card and/or online. Receipt is available upon request only in digital form supplied by email.

8. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Forest Mystery reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or amend activities due to:

Severe weather or unsafe conditions.
Safety concerns.
Insufficient participant numbers.
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, or civil unrest.

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date or a refund. However, we cannot guarantee availability.

Customer is allowed to cancel the booking at any time with certain limitations to refund as described below:

•If booking is cancelled at or before 48 hours from the start of the booked slot Forest Mystery will refund your booking in full.

•If booking is cancelled within or under 48 hours of booking Forest Mystery will refund only 50% of the booking fee due to lost business.

Reschedule is available within the best of our capability and date/time can't be guaranteed due to available resources. No additional fees will be charged for rescheduling.

9. Late Arrivals

Participants must arrive at the agreed time. Late arrivals may result in reduced game time or inability to participate. Refunds will not be issued for late arrival.

10. Damage to Property

Participants and visitors are responsible for any deliberate or negligent damage caused to equipment, props, or site property. Forest Mystery reserves the right to recover costs for repair or replacement.

11. Insurance

Forest Mystery holds valid Public Liability Insurance appropriate for its operations.

Participants are responsible for their own personal accident insurance if desired.

12. Photography & Media

Forest Mystery may take photographs or videos during activities for promotional purposes, including marketing, social media, and website use.

By participating in a Forest Mystery experience, you and all members of your group consent to the collection, storage, and use of images or recordings in which you may appear for these purposes.

If you or any member of your group do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you must inform the Forest Mystery team prior to the start of the activity, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

With your consent, we may also contact you with promotional communications about Forest Mystery experiences. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at bookings@forestmystery.co.uk.

All personal data, including photographs, recordings, and contact information, will be processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation (GDPR) and will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent.

13. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All participants agree to keep the content of the Forest Mystery experience confidential, including but not limited to:

Puzzle solutions, clues, and game mechanics
Storylines, scenarios, and plot twists
Any hidden or surprise elements of the game

You must not share, post, publish, or otherwise disclose this information online, on social media, or with third parties in any form that could reveal solutions or spoil the experience for others.

Breaching this confidentiality may result in removal from future activities, revocation of booking privileges, or legal action where appropriate.

14. Data Protection

Personal data collected during booking will be processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation and used solely for booking administration and operational purposes.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with a booking and participating in a Forest Mystery experience, you and your team confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
